A bouquet of midwinter birds

My daughter brought home a bouquet of flowers to fight the midwinter blues, but I'm enjoying my bouquet of birds, colorful enough to serve as an antidote to cabin fever. This time of year it's not uncommon to see thirty or forty birds twittering around our feeder stations all at once, with as many as a dozen cardinals sharply visible against the snow.

Thanks! I was trying out a new/old lens--a lens I've had for years but never used it because I relied on a better one, but now my "better" lens has been retired (scratches on glass plus failing motor), so I thought I'd see what I could do with the other one. It can't zoom in quite as close, but it's great to have a lens with no scratches!
