Mystery plant

This flower popped up in my butterfly garden, with tall floral spikes rising from low bushy weedy-looking greenery. I like it, but I didn't plant it and I don't know what it is. It's crowding out an azalea bush, so this plant will eventually have to go. First, though, I'd like to know what it is--and whether it's worth saving. Help?

So sorry: I don't know, Bev, but it does look suspiciously like some noxious weeds that grow in my neck of the woods.

Don't know if I told you, but I revamped my bedroom after I got separated. It's now an over the top "girly girl" room befitting a 12 year old. Next to my pink floral bedspread is a painted stepping stool where I have a collection of small potted plants in teacups. Prominently displayed on this stool is a "No Weeds" sign intended to remind me that some things (and some people), though attractive to look at, can choke the life out of everything around them. :) If this turns out to be a weed, it is a very attractive one. I think I may print this photo (with your permission, of course :) and put it in a frame next to my "No Weeds" sign. It's a perfect example of what I need to avoid when I tip toe back out onto the dating scene. B

Why is it we have "tree surgeons" but not "plant surgeons"? Maybe "we" don't. Maybe that's a British term. Anyway, no idea what your plant is, but with a bit of surgery and magic, you could probably turn it into platanthera peramoena:
