When the path I'm walking feels stale and hopeless, it's time to try a new trail. This morning we walked the new Lakeview Trail at Lake Katharine, a lovely trek through pine and oak woods followed by a switchback trail down to the edge of the lake, which was as still and quiet as a mirror. The views will be gorgeous in a week or two when the fall colors are out in force, but today it was relaxing and lovely.
